Flagships were the center of attention, but good quality budget devices are guzzling attention now. We know one such example the MOTO G. It shook the budget android area. Other devices either had a MediaTek processor or low ram or OS < 4.2 Jelly Bean. But the MOTO G changed the look of the budget segment.
A report out of China has Google partnering with MediaTek for a very low-priced smartphone. These processors are generally found on budget devices. This rumored phone is expected to sell for only $100. Which would be lower than the MOTO G and would be contract free.
We certainly don’t expect this phone to be Google’s featured Nexus phone for this year, but it could be a secondary launch. Lets see if Google gets it right here and dethrones the Moto G in the budget segment.
