We know one such example the MOTO G. It shook the budget android area. Other devices either had a MediaTek processor or low ram or OS < 4.2 Jelly Bean. But the MOTO G changed the look of the budget segment.
A report out of China has Google partnering with MediaTek for a very low-priced smartphone. These processors are generally found on budget devices. This rumored phone is expected to sell for only $100. Which would be lower than the MOTO G and would be contract free.

We certainly don’t expect this phone to be Google’s featured Nexus phone for this year, but it could be a secondary launch. Lets see if Google gets it right here and dethrones the Moto G in the budget segment.
